Senior Buyer

Rainbow/579 is a debt free growing company with over 1000 stores in 39 states including Puerto Rico. We are looking for talent individuals for our growing buying department.

Rainbow / 579 Senior Buyer

•  This person needs min 3-5 years as a juniors buyer...needs to be specialty.
• This person will either buy Tops - wovens/knits and sweaters OR Bottoms - denim, dresses and outerwear..depends on who you find!
• Average price of a top - $10-15. Average price of a bottom - $25-40.
• Will buy for all 579 stores so needs some volume - buying $20-40 mill hopefully...lots of units
• We buy from the market...tops will go to CA once a month, bottoms stays in NY.
• DMM goes to Europe and brings back samples... rest comes directly from the market with quick turnaround times..4 weeks!
• This person will work for the DMM who also buys bottoms for Rainbow...there are several buyer clericals, a distributor and a planner. Small team...hands on...
• This person needs a great junior taste level...something that can translate down to our customer and price...

Buyers are in the corporate offices in Brooklyn 1-2 days a week
